Prepare a larger material enquiry with clearer packaging, testing, retained-sample and change-control requirements.

Confirm that the material identity remains the same
Retain the specification version used in the pilot. Check sequence, termini, modifications and salt form. A shorthand name should not silently become another form during scale-up. Define acceptable alternatives and which changes require reassessment.
Discuss total amount and vial amount separately
A larger total can be supplied in different packaging arrangements. One large container and several smaller containers create different weighing, opening and record-keeping needs. Choose around actual work plans, rather than assuming fewer or more containers are always better.

Define what testing needs to answer
Purity, content, identity and specific impurity questions are different dimensions. A single area-purity value used during a pilot is not automatically a complete requirement for a larger order. Discuss appropriate tests and their relationship to batch records.
Agree on retained samples and delivery stages
If material will be used at different times or by different teams, discuss retained samples, split deliveries and traceability. Confirm feasibility and conditions individually. A previous small order does not establish a commitment for a larger arrangement.
Keep revisions visible
When quantity, packaging or testing changes, issue a revised specification and identify the version it replaces. Record implications for ongoing experiments. Matching specifications alone do not prove identical functional performance across batches.
Start with a concrete request
Attach the existing specification, intended total and project stages, plus open questions about packaging, documents and delivery. Related pages provide material enquiry routes. This guide does not state NHD capacity, stock, lead times or unverified testing services.
